POET: Lillias Scott Forbes (1919-2013)
A poet, daughter of the composer Francis George Scott. Her poems in Scots and English goes back to 1936 and her last poem date August 2011, View from the Bench represents her 75 years of poetry writing.
Our last event of Lillias Scott Forbes Poetry, in June 2013, was organized by Dr. Margaret Bennett in collaboration with the Whittaker Library @ The Royal conservatoire of Scotland. But Lillias was unable to appear at this event due some illness. Her Poems were read by Margaret Bennett and Robert MacFarlane. she was delighted that her poetry was given a public reading at at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
Sadly, she passed away on 2nd October 2013.
